Release of the week and game of the year. CoD was released world wide on thuesday 9.11 and most of the hardcore players like myself had to get it from night sale from local game-store on monday night.

Even tho everyone was bit doubtful about Treyarch taking the hads of producing the game, it came out quite nicely with major improvements. I’ll go and write my own thoughts first and then about the game itself.

So I got my hands on the game around 01:00 monday night, rushed home and started campaign on Veteran like I’v done with MW2 and earlier games. It took roughly 6 hours to complete it without much trouble. Since the player is always having immortal teammates helping, its easy to take distance and let the friends do the job. After finishing the first run, I started new game on Recruit and collected the remaining intel items for last achievement bringing my completion to 930/1000G. Remaining 4 achievements are all in the zombiemode which tbh is a mess. There’s actually no good players whatsoever playing it so trying randomly complete the ’chievos is impossible, it requires team of 4 friends. Multiplayer on the other hand is better than ever. Been playing around 9 hours now and my rank is 39, had my hands on many weapons but Steyer Aug with a silencer is by far my favorite! Guess I’ll be playing this game for awhile since Halo Reach is maxed out waiting for the dlc.

But about the game mechanics and improvements! Players have many options to customize in multiplayer like playercard with emblems, icons & clan tags. Even the character itself has now options to tune from facepaints to clothes. Variety of killstreaks to choose from and new contracts to take on. New game modes including gun game, sticks and stones etc.  Many new maps with exciting locations from jungle to snowy russia and nuclear test town. Physics of the multiplayer remains the same fast and deadly shooter as it was in MW2.

If you’r a fan of FPS games in general this is a must buy! With a great campaign, addictive multiplayer and live looking graphics this game will offer many hours to spend with!
